Charlie T. Savage is a Navy veteran, New Orleans native, and award-winning writer, director, and producer who creates bold, thrilling, and sometimes hilarious stories that center the Black female experience. Her work often explores the idea that villains are not born but created. Charlie’s produced credits include Voices (feature film, co-writer/producer, 2026), My House (short film, writer, 2026), Hard Truths (shorts series, writer/director, 2026), and Glory Obscured (executive producer, 2025).

Savage has received multiple honors, including Best Pilot Script in the Diversity Initiative at the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards. She is a 2025 Disability Belongs Entertainment Lab Fellow and a mentee in the 2026 Writers Guild Foundation Veterans Writing Project.

She is also a member of Veterans in Media & Entertainment (VME), where she participated in the STARZ #TakeTheLead program. Savage also serves proudly as an Associate Producer on the Sista Brunch podcast, which holds the largest archive of stories of Black women and gender-expansive people thriving in the entertainment industry.

Charlie serves as the Media and Communications Board Chair and Post Adjutant of the historic Hollywood American Legion Post 43, where she leads the post’s communications strategy and serves as the senior administrative officer responsible for operations and organizational leadership support at one of the nation’s most prominent veteran communities.
