Charlie T. Savage is a Navy veteran, screenwriter, and founder of Charlie Bit Me Joints LLC, where she creates thrilling and hilarious content that unapologetically centers the Black female experience. A New Orleans native based in Inglewood, California, Charlie blends bold storytelling with sharp cultural critique, spotlighting people of color and women.

In 2025, Charlie was named a Fellow of the Disability Belongs Entertainment Lab, which supports disabled creatives through mentorship, community-building, and visibility across media platforms. She is also a past fellow of the Collective 5 Entertainment Showrunner Mentorship Academy and a fellow in the Writers Guild Foundation Veterans Writing Project (Classes of 2026).

Charlie is currently in post-production on her first co-written feature film, Voices, a twisted tale set in 1960s Hitsville, USA, where an ambitious bellhop assumes the identity of a famous soul duo after their overdose, setting off a chain of betrayal and murder. She’s also in post-production on her executive produced Glory Obscured, a genre-bending short about a fallen angel who walks into a bar run by a demon. Her next short, Daddy's Home, which she wrote and is preparing to produce in late 2025, follows a young woman haunted by mysterious phone calls from her missing father.

Charlie’s past projects include The Night I Almost Died, an audio thriller she wrote and produced with Brooke B Productions, and All Things Considered: The Play, which she executive produced garnering press in People’s World for its intersectional themes. She also served as a staff writer for Season 3 of Forties AF.

Twice featured in Authority Magazine, Charlie has been recognized for her impact on both Hollywood and mental health advocacy through the articles “Inspirational Women in Hollywood” and “Five Things I Wish Someone Told Me When I Was First Diagnosed.”

Charlie is a proud member of Veterans in Media & Entertainment and the historic Hollywood American Legion also known as the “Post to the Stars” whose mission is to mentor and strengthen communities through advocacy and creativity following in the footsteps of legendary past members like Stan Lee and Clark Gable.

A former Soundstage Program Assistant for the California Film Commission, Charlie led its Career Pathways Program, helping to keep production in-state and inclusive. Her mission remains clear: to make the invisible seen, the unheard heard, and the uncelebrated unforgettable.
